The Green research unit aims to develop knowledge, methods and tools for understanding socio-ecological systems (SES).

We focus on understanding the link between individual practices and modes of collective organization in interaction with the dynamics of natural resources.

We postulate that the dynamics of these interactions are based on different forms of learning, i.e., on the evolution of individual and collective knowledge and perceptions. We therefore analyze scientific and profane knowledge and perceptions of resources, practices and modes of social interaction, and we undertake research at these crossroads of knowledge in order to promote and support an integrated management of resources.
